Official mover for Santa’s Reindeer set to deliver Dec. 5
Wheaton World Wide Moving will deliver Santa’s Reindeer – and crew – for opening night of Marsh Christmas at the Zoo
INDIANAPOLIS — Sensitive to the negative public impression created by the use of a private sleigh, Santa’s Reindeer have once again hired Indianapolis-based Wheaton World Wide Moving – a high quality, sensible relocation alternative – to move them from their home at the North Pole to the Indianapolis Zoo for the holidays.
Beginning 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, Wheaton will oversee the relocation of the Reindeer to the Zoo, the starting point for Santa’s holiday deliveries.
Along with various businesses operating in the Indianapolis-area – including Starbucks – a Wheaton moving van will be set up near the Zoo’s entrance. Children and their parents are welcome to come aboard, play games, receive holiday giveaways and refreshments. Parents can register to win fantastic gift cards for gas, local department stores and Starbucks, just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
“This is a fun opportunity to help kick off Marsh Christmas at the Zoo and bring a little holiday cheer to Indianapolis,” said Mark Kirschner, Wheaton’s CEO. “We hope everybody stops by to visit the reindeer and register to win some great gifts that are sure to make the holiday season even brighter.”
The Indianapolis Zoo helped book the “flight” from the North Pole. After arrival, the reindeer will spend the holidays at the Zoo – when they’re not delivering presents. Visitors to Marsh Christmas at the Zoo can get up close with the reindeer inside Santa’s Village presented by Starbucks from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. each night, December 5 to 23.
